This restaurant has a varied menu and the food is delicious. The service is efficient and fast.
The first and probably last of the Yang Yang generation. I even got a VIP card from the owner over 20 years ago. Now, the last of these fantastic restaurants was only in the SIP area. All the others have already closed.
The atmosphere is nice, the service is excellent, the food is moderately flavorful, and the location is easy to find. They have a wide selection of snacks, and the almond tofu is a must, haha. I ordered Hong Kong-style roast duck and Sichuan spicy chicken, cumin fried rice, and hot and sour soup. The soup was a bit spicy, though; the chef probably put too much pepper. I said it was mildly spicy (ง •̀_•́)ง, but it was still a good choice.
In 2003, my favorite little restaurant in Suzhou was a must-visit. The cilantro and dried tofu strips, the spicy shrimp, the dumplings, and the hot and sour soup were my go-to dishes! Those who know their food understand... Back then, I learned that in mainland China, dumplings are priced by weight. The beautiful proprietress and friendly waiters always opened a bottle of beer for us, making it a very warm and welcoming experience, like eating at home! I still remember it fondly.

This yang yang dumpling restaurant is super yummy!! Lunch time might be wait little time for seat. Order quick and serve quick also. I recommend dumpling(any of those), sweet and sour pork, fried rice, jellyfish's head. And maybe mostly seafood. The prices are very fair, it means you can order all you wants. When you get a bill, it's not gonna be let you down. I will never forget about taste of dumping in this restaurant. "go yang yang restaurant and get dumplings!!"
